Impact and Hatari

Another lazy post.
First there's some gyan from the fourth anniversary special issue of Impact, published today.

And then, there is this baby elephant rescue that someone I don't even know sent to me on youtube. I bet you will rewind and play it over several times, each time wanting to reach your own hands into the water to help the mother and aunt elephants fish the little one out of the watering hole.

Dear Lynn,

This is Sindhu...dont know if you'd remember me...ex-GMSI team member. Chanced upon your blog and love your posts.

Call it co-incidence but Dolphins are my all time favourite and my dream is to one day be able to swim with them. And I really admire your deep compassion and love for animals. My sister runs an NGO in Chennai GNAPE (group for nature preservation and education). They are actively involved in educating children to learn and respect nature and wild life..protect India's natural heritage by conducting a whole host of activities like nature walks, nature quizzes, talks, photography ...I try to do my bit by volunteering in every which way and hope to someday contribute in a significant way (wont be too far away). The video is truly moving!
